With the blessings of Akal Purkh Waheguru and His Holiness Sant Baba Waryam Singh Ji and Sant Mata Ranjit Kaur Ji, we have been able to commence another session for preparing future teachers.
Education and literacy are often used interchangeably; however both differ substantially whereas literacy means achieving degrees or certificates, education is far more comprehensive term which includes not only literacy, but also values like truth, honesty, co-operation, respect for all, equality etc. and aims at all-round and harmonious development of a child.
This definition of education becomes even more relevant when concerned with teachers. Because a teacher is a role model for students, hence whatever he or she does is followed by his/her students.
International Divine College of Education is a perfect blend of spirituality, values and modern trends. Here the aim is not only to equip students with a degree, but to thoroughly prepare them to face the challenges in teaching profession.

Thank you for the interest shown in our institution. We are proud of our heritage, and just as important of HIS (BABA JI’S) commitment to the future which in essence is just important and is a continuous update of the programs that induct changes and new ideas that truly reflect our awareness about the dynamic of change in education and society at large.
In view of this, the course of training teachers to become agents of change in the society is paramount. Education provides a foundation of knowledge and understanding of world at large.
Teaching is a challenging and rewarding field, which gives an opportunity to enhance and imbibe values that require thought, reasoning and analytical approach in a variety of different perspectives.
Education demands teachers who can make the most of the new techniques and ways of thinking to define and achieve strategic objectives in education. From the recent past education is becoming even more competitive, demanding and the pace of change in technology is further transforming the profession in such a manner that those who are able to term with it can completely and effectively manage and command a premium. In essence, IDCE provides a commendable platform for the overall development of would-be teachers.

You have embarked upon the noble profession of teaching at a time when the world is going through rapid and profound economic, social, and political transformations based on the emerging ‘Knowledge Economy,’ a system of creating wealth that depends upon the creation and application of new knowledge. Such new knowledge can only be created by educated people with innovative ideas and skills.
Producing such manpower with advanced and innovative knowledge and efficient skills depends upon our education system. This necessitates appropriate changes in all the aspects of education, i.e. aims/goals of education, structures and types of academic institutions, curricula and so on.
The responsibility of steering our education system and thereby our nation in this direction rests upon your shoulders.

Dear Students, good teaching is about nurturing and developing minds and talents. When we strive and work to become a good teacher, the four core qualities are essential: Knowledge, the skill to convey that knowledge, the ability to make the teaching material interesting and a deep seated interest for the students. The main hope of a nation lies in the proper education of its youth. Fruitful education is the kind used for our welfare as well as that for others. This can happen only when we will equip our prospective teachers with technology in one hand and values in other.
